How to Nurture Client Relationships via Email Marketing

Email marketing enables you to stay in touch with clients and has been proven to be one of the most effective forms of advertising. Following are four important points to keep in mind when sending emails that will help you not only connect better with people but also boost your conversion rate.

Deliver a consistent message. You do this by including your business logo with each email and sending emails from the same address each time.

Be as concise as possible. Your clients are busy people and will be more likely to read a brief message as opposed to a long one.

Personalize your emails as much as possible. Even clients from the same demographic have different needs. No-one appreciates getting an email marketing message that is clearly not helpful to them in any way, shape or form.

Pay attention to timing. If you are offering a holiday promotion, send the email well in advance so that clients have the time to act on your offer.

A business that applies these tried and proven points is sure to generate both customer goodwill and profit. To find out more helpful information on the topic of building client relationships, be sure to check out Mike’s Unstoppable Profit Producer Program.

How to Successfully Use Email Marketing

If you are considering an email marketing campaign as a part of your marketing plan, there are some things you will need to think about. Email marketing needs to be done in a specific way to be successful. There are a few things you will want to keep in mind.

Correct Formatting

You want to be sure that the content you provide in the email is engaging to the customer. Just using text is boring and often will not be read. Before this, you need to think about having a title that makes people want to read the email. There are certain words you do not want to use as well. Words such as free or using all caps will often cause your email to get marked as spam with most email providers.

Following Up with Clients

It is also important to follow up when someone emails you. You can have a great email but if there is no follow up, then it will essentially be wasted. When you follow up, personalizing emails is essential. It tells the client that this is not an automatically generated email. More than that, it shows your interest in helping them with their needs. Keep in mind that a quick response is needed because if you wait too long they will either lose interest or go with one of your competitors.

The URGENCY of Nurturing Your Herd

You never get a second chance to make a great first impression. This saying applies to so many situations – dating, interviews, writing, reading and the list goes on.

First impressions set the tone and are often impossible to reverse. This is true in almost every aspect of life, and it is especially true in email nurturing.  The initial impression of your marketing campaign can make or break the future decisions made by your prospect and/or client and the ongoing relationship you create.  Connecting with (and being CONNECTED) with and nurturing anyone, how do you avoid having the door slammed in your face?  How do you drive real engagement?

By bringing VALUE and sharing the UNEDITED truth about you and your business..… the MORE you give, the will come back to you. Email nurturing is just what it says it is NURTURING, Not Selling.  You want to build the Relationship because when it comes down to it, it’s ALL About The Relationship!!!

It’s amazing how things come back around, when you least expect them.  Our agency recently sent out an email to our existing clients, subject line read Hot Weather Survival… What you need to know…  I received a reply email from one of our clients that said, “Hey Mike, thanks for the great information. By the way, Do you have general liability, property, casualty, etc. for churches – represent Brotherhood Mutual or similar?  I am now treasurer at my church.”

Just goes to show, that helping people –even when there’s nothing in it for you– can lead to great rewards in the future.  Be good to others, share with them and nurture them, can’t think of anything more ‘social’ than that.  Bring your prospects and clients valuable information right when they need it!

IMHO, the ONLY time you should ever approach selling in your nurture email, is on the PS…and is very situational.
